10月1日 Hillsboro, OH Rocky Fork Aug 31, 2009Thunder in the Hills was a great weekend. The mornings were cool and sunny by noon the temps warmed up in the 70's and into the evening. The boat count was a modest 44. The larger classes were of course the 2.5 stocks and 5 litre's. The 5L's had 11 boats while the NM's had only 3... not enough to for a legal heat - so, we ran our 5L as a National Mod. Changes made for this race was engine relocation. I moved it back two inches. It made a difference in how the boat rode on the water but she still seems under-horsepower/rpm. Course rules were to establish lanes at a minute fifteen on the front stretch start/finish line. This caused numerous problems in multiple classes. Many would jump or would not establish lanes causing one minute penalties.
Overall the weekend was fun and we enjoyed the help from little "scooter". |
